Paul Zalon, Founder and President: Is a graduate of Yale University, with a Master’s degree in Stage and Costume design; as well as a minor in Architecture. He was a professor of design at Princeton University as well as their resident designer for the McCarter Theatre. Paul worked extensively in major regional theatres such as The New York Shakespeare Festival as well as on Broadway. He was a principal designer of The Tavern on the Green and Russian Tea Room Restaurants, as well as Six Flags Amusement Park. He holds several patents for the lighting and manufacturing of a wide variety of products. As a young boy, he took apart every clock and gizmo available; often with disastrous results at reassembling them. Paul’s curiosity and passion for product has driven the development of Spark Studios with the invaluable help of a team of extremely talented people, both in the States as well as Asia.
